I miss being able to find the Dubois in the cave at the center of the Hidden Grove, it was my favorite tentacle. Super glad to see the improvements from the engine rebuild. Keep up the great work Nono!
Is it possible to change the size of the screen? In my pc no matter what resolution I use, windowed or fullscreen, the bottom of the game is impossible to see or interact.
It's pretty wonky tbh in the Unity build. Easiest recommendation I can give you is early on explore the ice area of the secret garden to get a couple of the "Moth" tentacles - with their heart bonus active they take basically no damage. Put a ranged tentacle behind them and you should be all set, fill the rest of your roster with whatever I usually just use the basic butanga or whatever it is called. From there go to the north area and get a "Red Lion" slime. Literally replace your entire roster with those and you should be able to steamroll most of the map with their heart bonuses active, not even joking that is what I did and it works great. Some places it doesn't work but it's a good starter kit to get some exploring done and collect some other slimes and get used to the system.
An apple/linux version might come in the future, but that'll be quite a ways off since this is still the beta and getting the game back to where it was (and improving with the hindsight available) before adobe killed flash.
The locations for monsters stay the same, so if you remember the last time you found a creature somewhere it wont change. I'm fairly certain aside from the hidden grove(the starter region with all the biomes) each hex on the map only contains one location, one monster each. The locations themselves seem kind of random, like the artwork for the location was made and where you find the monster is just kind of plopped down somewhere. Like you said just use the directions it gives you to triangulate where to find the monsters.
This game is absolutely amazing I highly recommend playing it and supporting the creator so they keep up with the nice work. this is not only some animations and pictures but a strategic game where you got to put your skills in it to unlock more of the game.
I want to report some issues and improvements to developers so they make this cool game even better.
#1.When you press Explore button there is no canceling it you will have to spend 1 turn for the UI to show up and the stop the exploring.
#2.Some of the bonding animations are the same for both levels, I'm not sure if they are meant to be like that or they were supposed to change later but in my opinion if they were different poses and animation would be so greater i really wish to see more of these animations and stories.
#3.When you try to travel to far territories (more than 1 tile away from where you are) even if you are able to go to that territory with 2 turns it requires you to pay 3 turns instead of 2. (again i don't know if that is a rule of the game or not but i felt like it's better to report)
#4.It would be so nice if you were able to save you deck or team formation and spend hearts even before battle preparations.
#5.I unlocked all the territories and explored them all but i still haven't managed to discover this one beast which is shown in the picture below .

is it still possible to find cirrus? played 5.01 when it was out, but the new version seems different
The game had been rebuilt from the ground up due to game engine change. Thus most thing are changed or been reworked.

This is so good, but I'm going to need a progression guide because I suck at combat.

I cant figure out the gameplay, so ill just ask. Love the animations.
When exploring you click and get message like go south east yada yada. these are hint to which direction you should go obviously.
Do these reset after rest?
Do specific spots on the map matter?
Or are the monster locations random?
Same when I conquer a new zone. Do I look for points of interest on the map or just click until i find something?
